She migrated to Australia in 1974 and worked in the advertising Industry for 22 years. Lee's love of sketching has been a lifetime hobby and from this she has progressed into the medium of Pastels and now works full time as a professional artist. She is a self taught artist and has had no formal training in painting. This has led her to invent her own Pastel techniques, which in turn, leaves both student and Masters in awe of the detail she achieves in this most difficult of mediums. Please note that there are no photographs of any wildlife on this site, (except front page image of Lee with orangutans). All images of animals seen here were painted by Lee Carter.
